How BlackProtect came to be
Our own Minecraft server kept going offline because of DDoS attacks, and the big providers were either too expensive or didn't understand Minecraft. So we built the filter ourselves. These are the biggest steps so far.

The first line of code
A filter for our own server: attacks should bounce off in the Linux kernel before they ever reach the server. The tool we built for ourselves became the foundation of BlackProtect.

Our Discord goes live
Since then you can reach us directly: help with setup, updates first, and a short line to the people who build the filter.
- October 2026Release
BlackProtect 1.0
The official launch: create an account, add your domain, protected – free and without waiting. Filtering now runs at two locations, Frankfurt and Nuremberg.
